In addition to lessons we offer a variety of activities here at Murton and have fully equipped learning facilities on site to suit all levels of ability. New activities are added regularly and bespoke activites may be available on request.
Own a Pony day/week for Children:
Own a Pony courses are available during the school holidays. Pupils will ride daily and attend lectures throughout the day on various aspects of horse care. See our Junior riding section for the next dates on offer.
Adult Day Courses:
For adults who can ride and who would like to learn more about horse care. Pupils will ride and attend lectures on various aspects of horse care. Course dates are listed in the adult riding section or in reception.
Picnic Rides (4 hrs) allow you to have a lovely ride in the country whilst your picnic awaits at your destination. We supply the horse, you supply the picnic, which will be taken to the picnic site for you. Dates to be arranged.
All parties are supervised by experienced instructors, and no prior riding experience is necessary. We’ll provide refreshments, games, hats and all the ponies/horses you’ll need. So all you need to do is turn up and have a great time!
Corporate days at Murton Equestrian Centre offer a perfect environment for company events and team building days. Your team can unwind with a relaxing ride or go head to head with some friendly competitions. We cater for all ages, sizes and levels of experience and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment.
Make your child’s birthday and let them have some horsey time with their friends! Includes a ride on ponies either outside (whether permitting) on a trek or inside having a lesson or playing pony games on Saturday or Sunday at 4pm for 3/4 hour. For children 4yrs and over (maximun of 12 children).
Qualifications & Certificates:
We are BHS approved and offer riders the chance to work towards a range of qualifications and certificates. We also offer a comprehensive exam system offering Pony club tests for members of the Pony Club.
