Activities
In addition to lessons we offer a variety of activities here at Murton and have fully equipped learning facilities on site to suit all levels of ability.
Riders can choose from:
Own a Pony Day- Children's Course
Available during the school holidays. Pupils will ride daily and attend lectures throughout the day on various aspects of horse care.
Birthday Parties - Saturday or Sunday at 4pm for 3/4 hour
For children 6yrs and over (maximun of 12 children) Please contact us for more detail.
Adult Day Courses
Regular day courses for adults who can ride and who would like to learn more about horse care. Pupils will ride and attend lectures on various aspects of horse care. Our next course is:

Examinations & Certificates
As Murton Equestrian Centre is BHS approved we can offer riders Progressive Riding Tests. For the weekly rider we offer BHS Progressive Riding Tests. We also offer a comprehensive exam system offering Pony club tests for members of the pony club. Bronze, silver and gold awards. Achievement badges for stable- management and PC tests certificates.
Throughout summer 2010 we have various opportunities for you to complete BHS Progressive Riding Tests and BHS Road Safety Tests. Our friendly staff are always happy to help you with all your riding needs. So why not develop you riding skills here at Murton? BHS Stage I & II Training
These courses cover riding and stable management and lead to recognised qualifications. Please see Leigh for details.
BHS Road Safety
BHS Road Safety is also available for training and examinations. Arrangements made on demand. which are available in Junior or senior levels. Certificates 1-6. For further information and examination dates please download our Exam Leaflet.
