Full Time Apprentice

We have an exciting full time apprentice position available within our small team. Daily duties will include.

-Mucking out

-Providing fresh feed and water

-Daily exercising and health assessment of horses

-Monitoring and supporting with vet and farrier visits

-Working with other team members/instructors when needed

-Working outdoors in all weathers, hot and cold

-Exercising/schooling quiet horses and ponies

-Assisting with lessons

-Ensuring all tack and equipment is correctly managed

-Welcoming clients and customer care

Skills

A team player 16 years plus with a 'can do' attitude who is willing to learn

Confident around horses

Capable of riding ponies and horses (however further training and instruction will be provided on all tasks)

Willing to get involved in everything including mucking out and small maintenance jobs

Desire to learn to coach all standards of rider

Qualities

Friendly and cheerful

Genuine interest in horses and their care and well being

Patience with others and good people skills

Hardworking

Reliable

Sense of humour

Ambitious and driven

Qualifications

GCSEs at grades D/3 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

You will be working towards a Level 2/3 equine qualification in conjunction with Northumberland College. Extensive scope and further opportunities for the right candidate.
